Tulsi Gabbard Deserves to Win

Tulsi Gabbard has been my 2020 presidential candidate of choice since I first learned who she is. She is everything, and I do mean everything, that I want in a president. From her professional record to her character, she is my choice. And I vow: if Tulsi is not the Democratic nominee, I will vote for Donald Trump, just as a giant ‘fuck you’ to the Democratic Party.

Tulsi’s qualifications are as follows:

  1. Has served in the Armed Forces for the past 16 years.
  2. Currently serves in Congress.
  3. Opposes pointless regime-change wars.
  4. Is anti-war in general.
  5. Is young, and therefore has the physical and mental endurance for the most stressful job on Earth.
  6. Is of principled character.
  7. Has mature demeanor.
  8. Remains consistent in what she says and believes. She has changed her mind on some things, but that is learning, not flip-flopping. She’s changed no stances since starting her campaign.
  9. As a bonus, I’ll include the fact she is a diverse candidate: Female, Samoan, and Hindu.

I am disgusted that the establishment has been trying to covertly silence Tulsi from the beginning. She receives no coverage from the mainstream media, which of course is ultra-left wing. She’s a liberal, which of course means she’s not extreme enough to even be considered an ally in their eyes, in typical leftist fashion. The problem is far worse than not receiving coverage from the media, it’s the DNC itself … again. Remember how the DNC screwed over Bernie? Even though Tulsi has polled high enough to be in every debate, the DNC decided that she didn’t poll high enough in the polls they like, and thus shut her out for one. Of course, when the backlash was severe enough, the DNC pretended they hadn’t done anything. “Oh, Tulsi? We totally forgot about her! Sure, she can join the debates again!”

Hillary Clinton’s attack on Tulsi pissed me off almost as much as when she colluded with the DNC to screw over Bernie. For Hillary Clinton to call Tulsi a Russian asset is not only false, it’s despicable. It’s unthinkable. Tulsi is a veteran, having enlisted into the Army right after 9/11, and has been part of the Armed Forces ever since, up to this day. Even while running for president, she is still a Major, and still part of the National Guard. Not only that, but she has adamantly opposed our regime-change wars around the world and vows to end them if she is elected. How does that sound like a Russian asset? How does someone with a long, provable history of putting their life on the line for their own country sound like a foreign asset? How does that sound like a traitor at all? Putting your life on the line for your country is the exact opposite of being a traitor.

Hillary Clinton needs to fuck off, for ever. I am so beyond sick of even hearing about her, and most of all, I’m beyond sick of her polluting our political discourse and stifling our progress as a society.

Some on the left have even claimed Tulsi is an Assad apologist. She has openly opposed Assad, so this is yet another instance of falsehood and stupidity. She’s been called racist and homophobic … both of which I just don’t get. The closest you can get to calling her homophobic is pointing to the fact she used to be against gay marriage. Only simpletons can and do believe that being against gay marriage automatically means you hate gays. I myself used to be against gay marriage, and I was only against it because homosexuality was deemed sinful by my religion at the time. If Tulsi was against gay marriage at any point in her life, for all anyone knows it could be for religious reasons as well, or just because that’s how she was raised and she never thought it through before. Regardless, she isn’t now, so enough with the stupid lies.

The mainstream Left hates Tulsi because she’s a decent human being. She’s not a warmonger, she’s not completely obsessed with Trump, and she’s not a sellout. The establishment can’t control her, because she is driven by her principles, not by money, and certainly not by the mob (meaning the Left). Remember that progressives don’t have principles or standards, so of course they’re going to hate anyone who does.

Lastly, the thing I love about Tulsi that I haven’t mentioned yet is her lack of cowardice. She’s a soldier, after all. She’s not afraid to tell it like it is, no matter to whom she is speaking (remember how she reduced Kamala Harris’ polling to single-digits with just one truthful statement). I adored how she fired back at Hillary Clinton, and I’ll end this post by quoting what she said:

“Great! Thank you, Hillary Clinton. You, the queen of warmongers, embodiment of corruption, and personification of the rot that has sickened the Democratic Party for so long, have finally come out from behind the curtain. From the day I announced my candidacy, there has been a concerted campaign to destroy my reputation. We wondered who was behind it and why. Now we know – it was always you, through your proxies and powerful allies in the corporate media and war machine, afraid of the threat I pose. It’s now clear that this primary is between you and me. Don’t cowardly hide behind your proxies. Join the race directly.”
